Week 1 Term 3 Notices

Hi everyone
We hope that you have had a great break and holiday.

A reminder:
School gates are open from 8:15am. It was so great to have the children independently walking into class and follow the morning routines last term. The teachers are always available to talk with parents and families, but please remember that from 8:30 we are setting up play provocations and supporting the children with their morning activities. We welcome you to come and see us, the teachers, at the end of the day as well.

The end of the day bell rings at 2:45pm for Kakano. The students can either be picked up from class or they can walk to meet you at the desired gate. Please let the classroom teacher know which gate you would like them to meet you at if they are being picked up there.

In week 2 on Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be having the Three-Way Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences. You will be able to book a time online to see the classroom teacher. Information on how to book your interview time will be out shortly. The three-way conferences will be a chance to talk about how your child has settled into school and set goals for Term 3. We look forward to meeting with every family!!

This term we will also be starting Go4It. This is a health and PE programme taken by an instructor with the support of the classroom teacher. Each class will have a Go4It session once a week.

Tuesday - Library Day - don't forget to bring your books back.

Remember to bring your reading logs back by Wednesday this week to ensure you are in the draw for the reading log prizes!!!!! If you have misplaced your reading log it is fine to just write the names of the books you have read on a piece of paper.

Bread Tags - Room 1 (one of the senior classes) are collecting bread tags this term. The bread tags are sold to be recycled and the proceeds go towards buying wheelchairs for those in need.   They would really love it if everyone in the school could collect some bread tags during the term.

Here are some photos of the children who dressed up as wild animals on the last day of term.

Enjoy the last afternoon of your holiday in the sun!

See you all tomorrow
